ELI Community App – Privacy Policy

Elitetouan respects the privacy of its students, parents, members, and other users of the Eli Community App.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Eli Community App. The app is designed primarily as a communication service that allows Elitetouan to send announcements, notices, event information, course-related updates, and other school communications to registered members.

The Eli Community App does not provide social networking features, public profiles, user-generated content, or user-to-user messaging.

1. Information Used by the App

The Eli Community App uses a limited amount of information necessary to provide its services.

Existing Member Information

Information such as your name and phone number may already be held by Elitetouan as part of your existing relationship with the school.

The app does not require users to create a new public profile or provide this information for advertising purposes. Existing member information may be used to identify your account and provide access to the appropriate school communications.

Authentication Information

The app may use your phone number to verify your identity and allow you to access your existing account.

Verification codes may be delivered through WhatsApp or another authentication method provided by Elitetouan.

Temporary authentication information, login sessions, and related security information may be processed as necessary to keep accounts secure.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, the app uses the information necessary to send push notifications to your device.

This may include a device notification token provided through Apple’s push notification services. The token is used only to deliver notifications related to the Eli Community App.

You can disable notifications at any time through the notification settings on your device.

Announcement Read Status

The app may record whether an announcement has been read by a member.

This information is used to help Elitetouan understand whether important school communications have reached their intended recipients.

The app may also record limited account activity, such as the last time an account accessed the service, for operational and security purposes.

2. How We Use Information

Information processed through the Eli Community App is used only as necessary to operate and provide the service, including to:

• Authenticate registered members and provide access to their accounts;
• Deliver school announcements and important notices;
• Send push notifications;
• Display information relevant to members;
• Record whether announcements have been read;
• Maintain the security and reliability of the app; and
• Provide technical support when necessary.

We do not use information from the Eli Community App for third-party advertising or advertising profiling.

We do not sell personal information.

We do not use information from the app to track users across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes.

3. Information Sharing and Service Providers

Elitetouan does not sell or rent personal information to third parties.

Limited information may be processed by service providers when this is necessary to operate specific features of the app.

For example:

• Apple may process technical information required to provide push notifications through Apple Push Notification service (APNs).
• WhatsApp / Meta services may process a phone number and related technical information when WhatsApp is used to deliver an authentication verification code.
• Hosting, infrastructure, or technical service providers may process limited information when necessary to securely operate the app and its backend systems.

These services are used only where necessary to provide app functionality.

4. No Advertising or Social Media Features

The Eli Community App is not an advertising platform or social network.

Users cannot publish public posts, comments, photographs, videos, or other content for distribution to other users.

Users also cannot use the app to directly chat or exchange messages with one another.

Communications available through the app are provided by Elitetouan to its registered members.

5. Children and Students

Elitetouan provides educational services to students of different age groups.

Accounts used through the Eli Community App are associated with members already registered with Elitetouan. The app is not designed to allow children or other users to independently create public accounts, public profiles, or social-media content.

We do not use information concerning students or children for targeted advertising or behavioral advertising.

6. Data Retention

Elitetouan retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is used, for the operation and security of the service, or where retention is required for legitimate administrative or legal purposes.

Temporary verification codes expire after a limited period and are not intended to be retained indefinitely.

Notification information, read status, account activity, and similar app-related records may be retained for as long as necessary to operate the Eli Community App and manage communications with members.

Some information, such as a student’s or member’s name and phone number, may form part of Elitetouan’s existing school administrative records independently of the Eli Community App. The retention of those records may therefore continue even if the member stops using the app.

7. Security

Elitetouan takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, disclosure, or misuse.

Access to the Eli Community App is restricted to authorized members through the authentication mechanisms provided by the service.

However, no electronic system or method of transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You may contact Elitetouan if you would like to:

• Ask what personal information relating to you is being processed;
• Request correction of inaccurate information;
• Request deletion of information where applicable;
• Object to certain processing where applicable; or
• Ask questions about how your information is handled.

Certain information may need to be retained when required for legitimate school administration, security, contractual, or legal purposes.

Users may also disable push notifications at any time through their device settings.

Requests concerning personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable Moroccan data protection requirements, including Law No. 09-08 relating to the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data.

9. Account and App Access

Accounts for the Eli Community App are managed by Elitetouan and are generally associated with existing school members.

The app does not provide public self-registration.

If you no longer wish to use the Eli Community App, you may stop using the app and uninstall it from your device. You may also contact Elitetouan regarding your app account or information associated with it.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Eli Community App, our practices, applicable requirements, or the services used to operate the app.

When this policy is updated, the revised version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
