Elitetouan Barcelona Trip Feb 2014
Weather: Perfect – the weather was a great welcome to the city. Low to upper 14° during the day and no rain. We had such a wonderful weather.
Accommodation: The H.T Calella Palace Hotel was clean and well-furnished, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Great location, nice pools and Jacuzzi. The food was delicious with plenty on offer to suit all tastes (self-service buffet).
Sights: On the first day, we had breakfast in the hotel, then we headed towards Sagrada Familia where we met our guide who explained in English and French the symbolism of this building. On the second day, we visited some breath-taking views such as: Mount Montjuic, Barcelona Camp Nou, and the Magic Fountain, but what students really enjoyed was walking around the city particularly in La Rambla, where we started wandering in and out of various shops along the street, then we turned off into la Boqueria, the covered market. This was a fabulous place to explore. We also visited many shopping centres where students did a lot of shopping.
The Bosc Animat, with different circuits- Catalunya miniature which is an adventure park-was also another way to discover the natural beauty of the area.
The Barcelona Aquarium was amazingly great. We enjoyed watching closely different kinds of fish and sea creatures.
The live show of Castell Medieval followed by the Flamingo show were also unforgettable entertainments.
In brief, this trip was beyond incredible! Students had such a good week, enjoyed it so much and learned loads.
